Rick Mclain, AIA LEED AP

Rick McLain, AIA is a Partner at Repp+McLain, where he has helped shape the firm’s architect-led design-build practice since 2002. Becoming a partner in 2008, he has played a central role in developing the studio’s integrated approach—where design excellence, craft, and construction rigor operate as one.

Rick’s work is deeply informed by the Sonoran Desert—its light, materials, climate, and restraint. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture with a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and a Master of Science in Architecture from MIT.

Working fluidly between architect and construction manager, Rick remains engaged from early concept through completion. His leadership ensures that ideas are carried through with clarity, precision, and durability—resulting in buildings that are both thoughtful and enduring.

Outside the studio, he can often be found exploring meaningful architecture around the world with his wife, or closer to home spending time with his son Jack, daughters Avery and Taylor, and their dog Renzo.
