Kent joined Repp+McLain in 2023, bringing a thoughtful, multidisciplinary approach to the design team. Originally trained as a structural engineer, he was drawn to architecture for its coalescence of art, design, engineering, energy conservation and community impact.
Before joining RMDC, Kent worked in multiple firms in Portland, Tulsa and Tucson including Skylab Architecture, Rob Paulus Architects and Studio CABAN—gaining experience across a wide range of project types including residential, commercial, hospitality, multi-family, and higher education. He finds the greatest fulfillment in projects that enrich the community and enhance people’s relationship with their immediate surroundings.
Kent has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Portland and a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon.
Outside of the office, Kent enjoys spending time outdoors—riding bikes, hiking, camping or exploring the desert southwest with his wife and two daughters.
